Runaway Algo ready to lift Harlequin Cup

MADELYN’S SUNSHINE appears the closest thing to a possible test for RUNAWAY ALGO in Saturday’s Harlequin Cup at five furlongs straight. However, the American filly breaks from stall one, which will do her no good, with RUNAWAY ALGO holding the keys to mid-track two doors away on her outside.

RUNAWAY ALGO registering a fifth win from 11 starts should be a mere formality. For starters, DUKE sitting three pounds off the foreigner after an overnight-allowance win is almost laughable.

DUKE beating overnight-allowance with topweight 126lb and returning three pounds lighter than RUNAWAY ALGO, who spread-eagled open-allowance last Saturday, sentences Gary Subratie’s grey to the minor placings.

YELLOWSTONE gets better treatment from the conditions book, having never won an open-allowance race, reporting at 112lb with visor and tongue tie returned after an ambitious attempt against I AM FRED and RUNAWAY ALGO at six and a half furlongs on April 8.

Though vastly improved since the back end of last season, YELLOWSTONE will again be outclassed by RUNAWAY ALGO, who had attacked him off the home turn as a team with I AM FRED at six and a half.

Without a visor, RUNAWAY ALGO is already a terrifying speedster, making Dale Murphy donning the American with the headgear a horror movie for his seven rivals fresh off 1:30.4 for seven and a half furlongs last Saturday, the exact time he had clocked at the trip in September.
