Javontae Smith recoils ahead of a throw during the boys' under-18 shot put at the JAAA National Senior and Junior Championships inside the National Stadium earlier today.

Munro College’s Javontae Smith was crowned national under-18 shot put champion at the ongoing National Senior and Junior Championships inside the National Stadium earlier today.

Smith shot 16.63 metres to claim the title ahead of Kingston College’s Despiro Wray, 16.17, and Clarendon College’s Joseph Salmon, well back at 13.28.
