World 100m hurdles champion and world record holder Tobi Amusan has been charged with an alleged rule violation for missing a drug test by the Athletics Integrity Unit

Amusan made the announcement moments ago on her Instagram page revealing that she has been charged for three missed tests in 12 months.

In the release she said she intends to fight the allegations in time to defend her title at the World Championships in Budapest next month.

"I am a clean athlete and I am regularly; (maybe more than the usual) tested by the AIU- I was tested within days of my third "missed test". I have faith that this will be resolved in my favor and that I will be competiting at the World Championships in August," Amusan said.

Amusan had competed earlier today at the Gyulai Istvan Memorial meet in Hungary, winning the 100m hurdles in 12.35 seconds.
