Jamaica’s pair of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson mined silver and bronze medals respectively in the final of the women’s 100 metres at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

The silver-medal winning Jackson crossed the tape in a time of 10.72 seconds while Fraser-Pryce took bronze in 10.77.

Despite qualifying for the final as a non-automatic qualifier and running from lane nine, America’s Sha’Carri Richardson stunned the field, taking gold in a championship record, 10.65.
