Schoolboy standout Kaheim Dixon scored in the 58th minute to help the Reggae Boyz to a 1-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago today in a friendly international at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
Dixon, who represented Clarendon College in the last schoolboy football season, was making his international debut and joined the list of Jamaicans who converted in their first match. The previous Jamaican to score on debut was Justine McMaster in 2022.
The starting team for the match comprised five players making their international debut, and they assisted in enabling Jamaica to have a clean sheet in the twin-island republic for the first time since 1998.
