Big 12 Brown predicts KO in first 2024 bout

Jamaica’s Canada-based heavyweight boxer Ricardo ‘Big 12’ Brown is promising another knockout when he takes on Mexican Rafael Sanchez Rojas in his first fight of the year, at the Toronto Casino Resort tonight.
Brown, who had five victories in 2023, to take his tally to 10-0, all by knockouts in under three rounds, is expecting to pick up where he left off last year.
“I am just going to go out and box and when the knockout comes I just take it. But the plan is to go out and box and take him out when I can.
“Yes. I am looking to take him down in three rounds. I am looking to destroy him,” he said.
Brown said he knows very little about the 44-year-old Mexican who has eight wins and two defeats, but that he is feeling at his best.
“I don’t know him a lot. There is not much I know about him. But my coach has a plan. So let’s see how it goes.
“But I don’t think it’s is going to be a hard challenge. So I am looking forward to knocking him out, and that’s what I am going to do.
“I am feeling good going into the fight. I am prepared and I will do what I have to do,” he said.
Brown rose to prominence after developing a reputation of decimating his opponents early in his fights, and with his stocks continuing to rise, he revealed that plans are in the making to take his career to the next level this year.
“I am hoping for something big this year. My promoter Tyler (Buxton) is working on something and if it happens it will be a great one.
“I have trained hard. I have put in the work. My body is feeling good and I am ready to go. So I will go and show the people it’s my time.
“It will be a beautiful year. Tyler is working hard to sort out something. So this year is going to be a good year for me,” Brown said.
