Hydel’s Alliah Baker began her quest for the sprint double earlier today, strolling to a 24.88-second clocking to win heat 4 of the girls’ Class 1 200 metres at the ongoing ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium.

However, Edwin Allen’s 100-metre silver medallist Jounee Armstrong booked her spot in the semis with the fastest time, crossing the tape in 24.41 to win heat one.

Wolmer’s Girls’ Mickayla Gardener also secured a lane in the semi-finals, comfortably winning heat 3 in 24.66.
