Excelsior High School's Malike Nugent looks supreme in qualifying for the semi-finals of the boys' Class 2 200 metres at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships inside the National Stadium today.

William Knibb's Jabari Matheson was the sole competitor in the boys’ Class 2 200-metre qualifiers to dip under the 22-second barrier after he crossed the line in 21.88 seconds to win heat three.

Muschett’s Johan-Ramaldo Smythe qualified with the second-fastest time having clocked 22.08 to win heat one.

Excelsior’s Malike Nugent, reigning 100-metre silver medallist also booked his spot, qualifying in 22.25
