Excelsior’s Demarco Bennett maintained his form and composure as the boys' Class 2 400 metres approached its closing stages to produce the only sub-47 clocking at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships inside the National Stadium this evening.

Bennett clocked 46.91 to relegate pre-race favourite Calabar's Nickecoy Bramwell to second in 47.39. William Knibb's Jabari Matheson secured the bronze medal in 47.40.
