Rio 400mh champ Muhammad confirmed for Jamaica Invitational

Rio de Janeiro Olympics Games 400 metres hurdles women's champion, Dalilah Muhammad is the latest international athlete to confirm for the Jamaica Athletics Invitational.

Muhammad, who also won the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games and a two-time World Championships gold medal winner, is also a former world record holder.

Numbered among the stars down to compete are emerging Jamaicans who all have made significant strides in their respective events.

These athletes are Alana Ried, 100 metres national junior record holder; Olympian Briana Williams, 100 metres; Nkumie Bouwahgue, 100 metres national record holder; and Sandrey Davison, 100 metres fastest Jamaican this year.

Athletes' Liaison, Marvin Anderson is pleased with the confirmed list and is excited at the "level of competition the athletes and fans should experience. We are anticipating a very competitive series on the track and in the field”.

The May 11 event already has tickets online and ticket locations will open May 4. Grandstand tickets are $3,000 and $2,500 while the bleachers are free.

The meet will run from 7-9:30 pm and will host an after-party.
