St Elizabeth Technical High (STETHS) secured the ISSA Under-14 cricket title following a six-wicket win over Manchester High in the final played at the Sir P Oval in Clarendon.

Manchester High, after winning the toss and electing to bat, could only manage to get 59 runs in 27.3 overs. They were in deep trouble at 46 for seven at one point but Tesfah Ward Jr showed some fight as he was the innings top scorer with 17 runs.

Ward Jr was the only batsman to get into double figures as Juwayne Lawson and Maleek Spence wreaked havoc with the ball, taking four wickets each for 22 and 11 runs respectively. Eckoney Robinson also chipped in with one for 11.

In response, STETHS encountered early setbacks, losing two wickets with just one run on the board. Opener Jayden Shaw fell for just one, bowled by Ward, while Jermari Bryce departed without scoring, dismissed by Rahiem Livingston.

However, a composed innings from Robinson, who scored 25 runs, and Jerone Taylor, who contributed 16 before being run out, anchored STETHS towards their target. Despite losing two more wickets, STETHS achieved the victory target finishing at 61 for four.

It was STETHS’ second title in two months as they took home the ISSA/TVJ Super 8 T20 title following an eight-wicket win over Tacky last month.
