One throw takes Campbell into Olympics shot put final

Despite fouling two of his three attempts in the men's shot put qualification round at the Paris Olympics, Jamaican Rajindra Campbell booked his spot in the final with his opening effort of 21.05 metres.

Throwing from qualification Group A, Campbell placed fifth in his group and 10th overall as he finished within the top 12 competitors.

He will be the sole Jamaican in the final set for tomorrow at 12:35 p.m.
