It was smooth sailing for the three Jamaican athletes in the heats of the women's 400 metres hurdles as Rushell Clayton, Shiann Salmon and Janieve Russell all booked their tickets to the semi-finals in comfortable fashion.
The first of the trio on the track, Clayton took heat one in style clocking a smooth 54.32 seconds as she eased across the line ahead of the field.
Salmon followed her compatriot's performance as she chased Dutch phenom Femke Bol down the homestretch to finish second in 53.95.
Bol took the heat in 53.38.
Russell closed the Jamaican showing with her time of 54.67 to finish third in her heat.
She was passed on the line by the fast-finishing British athlete Lina Nielson, 54.65, while Anna Cockrell of the USA took the heat in 53.91.
