Romaine Beckford punches ticket to high jump final

Jamaica's lone representative in the men's high jump, Romaine Beckford, is through to the final of the event at the Paris Olympics.

Beckford, despite having three unsuccessful attempts at 2.27m, managed to clear the bar at 2.24 on his first attempt.
