OLYMPIAN AND Under-20 World 100-metre champion, Alana Reid, is now a Burger King brand ambassador.
Reid inked a one-year deal with the fast-food giant, with the possibility of an extension into 2028.
“Hey everyone! I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ve officially become a brand ambassador for Burger King! This is such a dream come true for me, and I can’t wait to dive into this delicious journey with all of you,” the sprinter shared in an Instagram post.
“I’ll be sharing exclusive deals, my favourite menu items, and some behind-the-scenes fun! Thank you all for your support, and get ready for some mouth-watering content that’ll satisfy your cravings! Let’s dig into this adventure together!”
The 19-year-old made her first official appearance as brand ambassador on Tuesday at the launch of the 2024 Burger King 5K and Relay at Jamaica College.
Reid will be actively engaging participants in exercises and other activities at the event scheduled for Sunday, November 10.
Reid said she hopes the achievement will help to inspire other up-and-coming athletes.
This achievement will be added to her many accolades, which include representing the island at her first Olympic Game in Paris this summer, where she was part of Jamaica’s 4x100-metre relay team that finished fifth.
The former Hydel High School standout then went to the World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru where she claimed gold medals in the 100 and 4x100-metre relays.
