NEW JERSEY (AP):
Twenty-five students face charges after a fight broke out in Atlantic City High School.
Six students are charged with assault and 19 others face disorderly persons offences. Police initially had said 15 were charged in the March 19 altercation.
The fight started in the hallways after students had finished taking a standardised test. The school's principal and an assistant principal were assaulted and a security guard injured his back.
The Press of Atlantic City reports school security chief Dewane Parker told school board members some neighbourhood groups and gangs have been acting out. Parker also says there is a lot of stress in families because many are losing jobs because casinos have closed.
