Expect to see some revolutionary new silhouettes, that which give women's fashion for 2011 a very distinctive look, especially around the hip area!

Pear-drop silhouettes and trapeze and conical cuts are not for the faint-hearted, alongside domed shoulders and asymmetric hems and lapels for a mismatched look.

Colours are bold and beautiful. Find your bold prints and don't hesitate to go with your citrus hues (orange, yellow, red etc).

Look out for the the maxi dress this spring. And remember, make it bold.

Whether you like them or not, polka dots are 'spotting' the spring scene this year. And so are stripes.

Designers like Moschino are bringing polka dots to the fashion public. Whether big or bold or small, 'the dot' does it!

With skinny pants and jeans now so common, it was inevitable that a different trend would emerge. With the comeback of all things 1970s, it is no surprise that fashion-forward folks have turned to bell bottoms/flared pants as their style choice.

For every trend that exists, it's opposite tha are now the rage. So as spring 2011's fashion trends allow us to welcome flares back into our wardrobes, so too does it allow for an opposite style, in the form of capri pants

One season they're in, the next season they're out. For spring/summer 2011, jumpsuits are back again, reinterpreted to fuse in many of the season's other fashion trends.

Chunky wooden shoes

Clogs are back! The chunky wooden shoes don't sound like the most glamorous or practical of footwear trends, and yet the clog reached new heights in 2010 and will continue to have an impact on 2011's footwear trends.

Extravagant shoes will be hitting the pavement this spring. A classic trait of the spectacular, outrageous shoe is the height, especially neon colours that brighten up your outfit and your day. Some designers add spectacular details like feathers and buckles.

As for accessories, There's no easier (or more affordable!) way to update your look in a hurry - just slip on an armful of colourful plastic or wooden bangles.
