St Ann man disappears mysteriously

IS CHRISTOPHER 'Chris' Moulton of Discovery Bay, St Ann, alive or dead? If he is alive, where is he, and why is he not communicating with his loved ones? If he is dead, who would want to kill him, and are the skeletal remains found weeks ago in Llandovery, St Ann, his?

One thing that is certain, though, is that Chris did not show up at a cookout he had left for on June 15, and he has not been seen since. Nor did he attend court on July 7 for a hearing in a civil suit in which he is the plaintiff. He had sued a woman for $90,000 for work done.

Chris' relatives are fearing the worst and they are almost certain Chris is no longer breathing life. Chris used to spray-paint heavy equipment, among other things, and the lot in which the skeleton and clothes were found is occupied by many pieces of heavy equipment. The clothes, as described by the police, appear to be the ones he was last seen in. Also, there are bullet holes in the skull, the relatives were told by the St Ann's Bay police who are handling the matter.

Moreover, two relatives, on two separate occasions, received calls from someone from a certain number to say that Chris had died in a shoot-out in western Jamaica. Several calls were made to the number. The female recipient was told to report what she knows about Chris' whereabouts, and she agreed, but is yet to do so.

search

On June 28, some of Chris' relatives went to Montego Bay, St James, to search the morgues for Chris' body. They were assisted by a policeman in Montego Bay. Chris was nowhere to be found.

To date, the relatives have not been allowed to see the remains and clothes that were found at Llandovery, not very far from Discovery Bay. They find this alarming, since Chris frequented the area and might have been lured there by persons known to him. This is based on information that The Gleaner cannot divulge at this time. They believe they are being given the runaround by the St Ann's Bay, Runaway Bay and Discovery Bay police, and that nothing is going to become of the matter if Chris is in fact dead and the police do not act fast.

So whose skeleton was found at Llandovery? Is anybody else in the area missing a relative? That remains to be seen. For now, Chris' relatives are in the dark. But, are they really?
