LaCroix returned as new-car boss

Kent LaCroix has been returned unopposed as chairman of the new-car umbrella group - Auto Dealers' Association (ADA).

LaCroix, now is in his eighth year at the helm, and the entire board of directors were re-elected at a meeting held at Jamaica Employers' Federation on Ruthven Road on July 13.

"I am very happy to have been re-elected," LaCroix told Automotives. "It is hard work, but I enjoy what I do for the industry."

The chairman said despite the current economic challenges, the new-car organisation would continue to seek opportunities for it members.

"Next year March, we'll be having our major car show. We expect this event will translate into more awareness and more sales," LaCroix said.

Directors of the association are Nigel Pagon from GM Challenger; Brian Stevenson and David Rosen of ATL Autohaus; Duncan Stewart of the family-owned Stewart Motors; Major Gregory Webster of Fidelity Motors and Howard Foster of Toyota Jamaica.
