All systems are in place for the second annual Jamaica Curry Festival, scheduled for Sunday, October 16, at Richmond Estate, Priory, St Ann.

Presented by Tropical Vibes, in association with Digicel and Grizzly's Entertainment, the festival debuted successfully at Turtle River, Ocho Rios, last year, but was brought forward this year and switched to the more spacious Richmond Estate venue.

"Everything is in place and we're very excited right now," Marketing Manager Camille Miller told The Gleaner on Monday.

"The only thing we are worried about is the weather, but as long as the weather is okay we expect a great turnout," she added.

The show will feature a wide variety of curry dishes. Already on the menu are; breadfruit, jackfruit, mango, cake, ice cream, jerked chicken, pork, run-dung, scallop, ackee and salt fish and veggie chunks.

Sandra Ledgister, sponsorship executive for main sponsors Digicel, expressed delight at being involved with the show for the second year.

"We are extremely delighted to be a part of it," Ledgister said during Saturday's media launch. "It falls under our portfolio where community events (and) festivals form a major part of our commitment to giving back to the community and Jamaica on a whole."

Special deals from Digicel will also be available during the festival.
