Jacqueline Cole returned as Customs Brokers president
Jacqueline Cole, managing director of International Logistic Solutions Limited, has been unanimously re-elected to serve a second term as president of the Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association of Jamaica.
Cole, who last year became the second woman to head the 47-year-old organisation, was re-elected at the association's annual general meeting at the Terra Nova Hotel on April 23.
Three of the four outgoing vice-presidents were also returned to office. They are: Richard Minott, Marcia Bent-Ferguson and Paulette Watt-McIntosh. The fourth spot went to Colin Cunningham.
Mitzie Gordon Burke-Green and Verna Clayton were unopposed for the posts of honorary secretary and assistant secretary while Margaret Sharpe replaces retiring Samuel Coates as treasurer with Susan Neil as her assistant.
The elected executive committee members are: Hugh Thompson, Colin Cadberry-Walters, Lloyd Brown and Arthur Smith, Karina Clarke, Ann Brown-Chang, I. Rosemarie Spence and Elaine Woodley-Williams.
Special appreciation awards were presented to past presidents T. Leo Samuels and Donovan Wignal and Hyacinth Chantrielle. Colin Cunningham received the L. G. Thelwell Trophy for outstanding service to the organisation during the 2011-2012 administrative year.
