Evita's Italian restaurant, on the hills overlooking the resort town of Ocho Rios, has a long tradition of offering fine dining and the best in Italian cuisine.

Each year, Restaurant Week allows diners to enjoy not just the fine food but the first-class dining experience at Evita's. This year is no different as Evita's is listed in the Savoury category and according to the effervescent Eva Myers, a bit of jazz will be added to the experience.

"Last year was good. All the seafood dishes were favourites but the one that stood out most was our escoveitch fish with pasta. Of course, it's on the menu this year again,' Myers said.

What is new on the menu this year is Salmon Risotto, a rice dish with salmon and a dish interestingly named 'ecstasy'.

"'Ecstasy' consists of baby shrimps, lobster meat, fish and spring peas," Myers explained. "It can be had with mushrooms if desired." Conch may also be added.

The added feature for music lovers is singer, composer, pianist Richie Sterling, delivering jazzy notes on his keyboard.

Myers is also glad that Restaurant Week is held when it is.

"I appreciate that Restaurant Week is held in November. November is usually a slow month so it perks things up in the resort area. Usually it doesn't get busy until around Christmas, so RW is welcomed!"
