Only four months old, Saffron is prepared to leave a lasting impression on the palates of diners come this year's Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week. Offering a fusion of Indian and Asian cuisine, Manager Gregory Dsouza is confident that diners will love the difference.

Catering to vegetarians and non-vegetarians, the menu offered during Restaurant Week will feature some of the most popular dishes at the restaurant. And because of the fusion, diners will be able to choose from both Indian and Asian dishes.

Due to its relatively new status, the restaurant is hoping that it will win the loyalty of new customers as well as secure the support of its existing ones.

"We want a lot of exposure from this. We want new clientele, and we want to make sure we have repeat customers," said owner Vivek Chatani.

And to make this possible, Saffron is gearing up to make the experience of diners a memorable one.

For its star dish, the resmi kabab masala, served with plain rice and naal, is expected to be the show-stopper.

"The resmi kabab masala is very creamy and has bits of grilled chicken in it. People will love this, and they can have it mild or spicy, depending on their preference," explains Dsouza.

For those who would like to try something new and tasty in a warm and enticing atmosphere, Saffron should make the list.
