Good food at affordable prices

Masters of the grill, the chefs at Truck Stop Grill & Bar are using their skills to create some of the dishes on their Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week menu.

And what's the dish they think you must try? Their grilled lobster served with fried bammy rounds.

The whole lobster is boiled, then split down the centre and placed on the grill, to give it that distinct smoky flavour. It's then topped with the popular tangy seafood pickle made of Scotch bonnet peppers, onions, pimento seeds, carrots and vinegar.

"Compared to other restaurants, it's one of the most affordable lobsters around," said Omar Shoucair, part owner/operator of the restaurant. He explained that the discounted Restaurant Week prices will make it even more appealing.

As part of the Tasty category, Truck Stop Grill & Bar will be offering the grilled lobster as a main course with an appetiser and dessert. This is in line with its thrust to be an economical option for patrons while offering good food.

"We're here as an option to fulfil the customer's needs," notes Shoucair, emphasising that they cater to various demographics and provide great service.
