Sizzling Wok - these two words can mean only one thing - delicious Chinese food. It's no surprise then, that this is the carefully chosen name of Oliver and Laura Chang's new Chinese take-out restaurant, and the offerings do not disappoint.

Nestled in a cosy spot in Upper Manor Park, Sizzling Wok offers take-out with a difference. The first dishes were served at the end of April, but last week Thursday, the owners pushed the restaurant's doors wide open with their tasty grand opening. Laura told Food that the couple wanted to create a unique feel, so, unlike similar establishments, Sizzling Wok serves fortune cookies with every order. The food is also served in authentic Chinese take-out boxes. In an area dominated by fast-food establishments, Sizzling Wok is a welcome reprieve. Laura told Food that, in the past, if she wanted good Chinese food, she and her husband would have to go all the way to Liguanea. Now, problem solved.

The food at Sizzling Wok is definitely good. From fried wonton to gai lan with garlic sauce, or steamed Fah Ching, you'll be licking your fingers in no time. The large crowd that turned out for the opening proved that, as they sampled vegetable spring rolls, roast pork, sweet and spicy chicken, barbecued pork ribs and a delicious slice of cake, from nowhere else but Sugar and Spice.

Sizzling Wok is open seven days per week, and you can call in your order, then pop in to pick up, or if you choose to dine in, there is a small area to facilitate that.
