The inaugural Bring It motor sport event, held at Kirkvine Sports Club in Content, Manchester, last Sunday brought lots of excitement to the people of central Jamaica.

The crowd on hand witnessed some of the best in local motor racing with an exciting dexterity contest for some 'souped up' cars and very quick motorcycles. There was also a go-kart exhibition by one of the masters, Peter 'Zoom Zoom' Rae.

Much excitement surrounded the presence of Doug Gore and his famous Audi TT, which caught the eyes of patrons throughout the day.

There was also the classic car competition, which saw some superb vintage vehicles on display, along with a sexy car competition with some 'mean machines' being entered.

It was truly a family affair as the children were well entertained with many fun rides, including bounceabouts, slides, trains and much more.

The night culminated in a concert with performances by Noddy Virtue, Lenya Wilks, Jodi-Ann Pantry and Bryan Art, among others. Bring It was made even more special with superb music provided by Lawton Lewis of WOW Motors and his team, which also provided the sound and lighting infrastructure.

Member of the promotion team Joseph Elliot was pleased with the outcome of Bring It in its first year.

"Things are great. We are planning on having it here every year," Elliot said. "We are happy with what transpired in our first staging here. We are also planning on taking it to other parishes to share the joy of an event such as this.
