Citibank was the main sponsor of the third staging of the annual Junior Achievement Company of Entrepreneurs (JACE) Technology and Innovation Conference, held at the Rex Nettleford Hall, University of the West Indies, Mona. Citi provided funds used to offer start-up business loans for Junior Achievement of Jamaica alumni, and interested persons will be mentored before taking up the loans at the end of the 2012 to 2013 academic year.

Citi has been a key player in the Junior Achievement of Jamaica's (JAJ) programmes over the last two years, contributing US$100,000 during that time and sponsoring some 17 schools through the Citi Foundation. "We are very involved with the programme and we believe it is a great partnership, one in which we believe and one that fits our programme of financial literacy," said Peter Moses, Citi country officer.

Some 100 students participated in the five-day series of seminars, competitions and professional development. Drawn from 43 high schools islandwide, they were selected as the top 100 of the more than 1,000 who participated in this year's JACE programme.
