Jencare mobile spa hits the road

Never one to rest on her laurels, Jennifer Samuda, owner-founder of Jencare Skin Farms has done it again. Yesterday, she officially rolled out the company's latest innovation - Jencare Express - a mobile spa that is set up inside a recreational vehicle (RV), and from her research, it's the first such vehicle in the world to be used for a spa. The new service will provide employment for six persons and can accommodate 10 people at once.

The Gleaner got an exclusive look at the spa under construction and later after it was finished, and the transformation was magnificent! Asked why a mobile spa now, the innovative Samuda said: "In April, I looked at the company and wondered what next I could do to boost Jencare for those who want to spend their hard-earned dollar in the present climate." And she thought, "Why not take it to customers who can't make it to the headquarters in Kingston?"

The Jencare Express will offer the services available at the spa. The difference is that it will come to you. There will be two located in Jamaica - one to serve the Corporate Area ant the other for the rest of the 12 parishes. "It will come to your health fairs, music festivals, food festivals, banks, and corporate headquarters, as well as bookings can be made for bridal showers, church groups, family days, girls' day, guys' day, birthday parties, and any other event where clients need the services of a spa," Samuda said.

Booking of Spa

The RV is equipped with facial tables, massage tables, mani-pedi-stations, lots of storage space, a refrigerator, a deli, bathroom facilities, flat-screen television sets, a wine bar, a deck outside for sitting, music, Internet, and Wi-Fi service. The main difference is that there will be no cash transactions on-board. "Customers can use their credit cards or purchase vouchers at the bank," Samuda said. Booking ahead is also advisable and there will be Jencare products on sale in the mobile spa.

Always thinking outside the box, Samuda said, in the near future, a Jencare Express will be located in Washington, DC; London -England; Manhattan - New York; Atlanta - Georgia; and Geneva - Switzerland.
