The local chapter of the Eisenhower Fellowships Committee, welcomes international business mogul and past fellow, Solomon Cai from China to speak at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel on Monday, December 2 in commemoration of Jamaica's Eisenhower Day of Fellowship.

This follows a luncheon hosted by Sagicor Life Jamaica's President and CEO Richard Byles in October where Jamaica's 2014 Fellow was announced as Dr Parris Lyew-Ayee Jr.

CATALYST FOR IDEAS

Cai's input is expected to ignite ideas for global trade among Jamaicans. He has made significant investments in the supply chain management industry. His business, Globelink China Investment Limited includes international transportation services, logistics financing, logistics facilities, a shipping line and airline agency, commercial real estate and investment.

Dr Lyew-Ayee will be among international fellows who will visit the United States for seven weeks, from mid-March to mid-May 2014. During their travels, fellows identify concrete projects that they undertake upon their return home. Projects range from ongoing collaborations with organisations encountered during the fellowship travel to collaborative professional and philanthropic efforts with other fellows.

Eisenhower Day of Fellowship was first celebrated around the world in 2008. Jamaica has celebrated Eisenhower Fellowships Day for the last two years. The Eisenhower Fellowships is a private, non-profit, non-partisan organisation created in 1953 as a birthday gift to President Dwight Eisenhower from a group of prominent US business leaders.

The organisation engages outstanding mid-career professionals from around the world between the ages of 32-45, helping them to achieve consequential outcomes across sectors and borders.
