After starting yesterday at the Police Officers' Club, 34 Hope Road, St Andrew, the Jamaica Used Car Dealers Association (JUCDA) will conclude its 2013 automotive show today. The show is being staged with the intention of the association giving back to the public for its continued support during challenging economic times.

Dubbed Used Car Auto Show 2013, there are more 200 vehicles on display.

"We want the public to go away with the view that the Jamaica Used Car Dealers Association really gave them back something. With the prices offered, we believed that the customers would benefit greatly from it, especially from the prizes and giveaways," said Lynvalle Hamilton, president of JUCDA.

He also pointed out that this is the first show being hosted by the association in five years and, in addition to putting motor vehicles on display, it is geared towards being a great outing for the entire family. A kiddy's village with games and rides is being provided for the children.

The participating used-car dealerships are Carland Investments, Auto Channel, CarMax, Crystal Vehicle Sales, GK Motors, McKoy's Auto, Bess for Less, Jetcon, Auto Impression, Progressive Motors, O'Brien's International, JE&S Auto Brokers Ltd, Path Transport, and Millennium Industries Ltd. There is one new-car dealership, ATL Automotives, which runs a programme in which it certifies pre-owned vehicles of the brand for resale.

Title sponsor of the Used Car Auto Show 2013, National Commercial Bank (NCB), has been on hand to provide financing opportunities to prospective customers, with Advantage General taking care of insurance.

"NCB surprised with a competitive rate and Advantage General had a comprehensive package in terms of insurance for patrons. So persons who show interest on the two days will have up to two weeks to settle with either of these institutions," said Hamilton.
