It was quite a spectacle as the popular two-day event designed to make dreams of intimate enchantment come true got under way.

The annual affair, held at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel last weekend, stepped things up a notch in showcasing all things nuptial. Sheer pandemonium ensued at the various stations featuring tuxedos, dresses, make-up, floral arrangements, bridal registry, and even photography. All that were on fine display were flooded with bridal hopefuls and soon-to-be grooms, and even those who were just dreaming of their big day.

Many were educated on the well-needed services available, following the designated master of ceremonies for the evening's proceedings.

Amid the excitement were hourly wedding fashion showcases of different styles from various designers and companies. So, at any given moment, beautiful bridal gowns, sophisticated chic dresses, suave tuxedo suits, and even swimwear options were modelled throughout the venue as the patrons looked on with keen interest.

INTERESTING DISPLAYS

Petals and Promises dressed things up with their array of tuxedos and bridal dresses, and a beautiful table setting for the bride and groom. Yellow Pages set themselves apart from the rest by providing a virtual marriage, with couples walking away with a Yellow Pages marriage certificate and a key ring that doubled as a key chain.

Several other reputable booths came prepared with prizes and surprises, like Scotiabank and Adam and Eve Day Spa, who interacted with their audience, playing games that involved couples and giving away prizes to the winners. Sweet and savoury treats as well as fine wines were not to be left out as they were well represented, providing patrons with delectable delights and savoury sips.

The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, host of the event, presented alluring packages for two, and who could have missed the lap of luxury bedroom display by Posturepedic bedding, or Kingston Industrial Garage's exhibit of first-class vehicles showcased in the traditional white? Tai Flora attracted many with their elegantly grand floral display, while Freeze Frame's mobile photo booth for the Mr And Mrs was kept busy capturing engaging moments of couples.

All in all, the Wedding Spectacular 2014 showcase provided the ultimate for achieving a personalised and blissful wedding experience.
