The 2014 Toyota Corolla was recently launched at Devon House, St Andrew, by Toyota Jamaica, authorised dealers for new models of the popular vehicle line in Jamaica.

Several persons gathered to take a look the completely redesigned Corolla, which aims at exceeding customer expectations and offering peace of mind with its quality, durability and reliability.

"Just like with the rest of the world, the Corolla is the top-selling car. You are talking about 40 million Corollas being sold worldwide, with the first generation being sold in 1966. Its role and mission has kept it going all this time - they are focused on that," Toyota Jamaica's sales and marketing manager, Howard Foster, said.

"They do get frequent feedback from their customers and try to match whatever requests they are getting," he said.

Foster also pointed out that the 2014 Toyota Corolla does not cater to any potential owner specifically, but rather to a wide cross section of persons.

"For most of our vehicles here in Jamaica, it is not as clear and separated as it is in a First World country. The Corolla spans a wide cross section. People who just want a reliable car, a mid-sized sedan to get around, then this is perfect for them. Those who want safety and security, then this would work very, very well for them," Foster said.

The 2014 Toyota Corolla comes equipped with anti-theft immobiliser, vehicle stability control, traction control, seven airbags, high-strength/impact-absorbing structures in the bonnet and fender, remote trunk opener and alloy wheels, among other features.
