Two drown on Sunday

The corporate Communications Unit (CCU) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force reported yesterday that 33-year-old Andrew Campbell, otherwise called 'Dizzy', of Rockingham Road, Kingston, was suspected to have drowned at the Beaumont Beach in the parish on Sunday.

Reports from the Rockfort police are that about 11:45 a.m., Campbell's body was seen floating in the water and the police were summoned. On the arrival of the officers, the body was fished from the water and removed to the morgue. Investigations continued yesterday.

Another report issued yesterday by the CCU stated that 53-year-old Allan Johnson of a Philadelphia, United States, address was reported to have drowned at the Mammee Bay Beach, St Ann, on Sunday.

Reports from the St Ann's Bay police are that about 4 p.m., Johnson was at the beach with his relatives when he went into the water, got into difficulties and drowned. The police were summoned, and on their arrival, the body was fished from the water and taken to the morgue.
