200 injured in Virginia tornadoes

At least 200 persons have been reported injured after three tornadoes ripped through the US state of Virginia yesterday.



The Governor of Virginia has since declared a state of emergency in the worst affected areas of the central and southeastern parts of the state.



Several thousand households were reportedly affected by power cuts as a result of the storms.
