Pakistan Muslim League withdrew

The Pakistan Muslim League Party has announced that it is pulling out of the government, just three months after landmark general elections.



Ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said his Muslim league party is quitting because of differences over the reinstatement of judges who were sacked by President Pervez Musharraf.



Mr. Sharif wants the judges, who being opposed by Mr. Musharraf, to get all their old powers back.



The Pakistan People’s Party wants limitations on the power of the judges.

Mr. Sharif said he would be submitting his party’s resignation to the Prime Minister tomorrow.
