Obama predicts US presidency

Barack Obama has said he is now within reach of becoming the Democratic candidate for the US presidency.



Mr. Obama said he has a majority of pledged delegates, won in primary elections, who choose the nominee.



His claim came as his rival Hillary Clinton won Kentucky\'s Democratic presidential primary by a large margin and vowed to fight on.



The results out of the Oregan primary were not published up to late last night, but it is expected that Mr. Obama will win.



Mr. Obama told supporters in Iowa that they have put him in reach of the Democratic nomination for President of the US.



Mrs. Clinton told supporters in Kentucky that she would continue fighting.
