61-y-o dies in motor vehicle collision

A 61-year-old resident of Harbour View in Kingston has become the the latest road fatality.

He is Winston Pryce, a gardener of Franklin Avenue in Harbour View. Pryce was hit from his bicycle on the Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard in Kingston yesterday.

The police say about 9:15 p.m. yesterday, Pryce was riding his bicycle along the roadway with a pillion aboard when he was hit by a Toyota Town Ace bus travelling in the same direction.

Pryce and the unidentified pillion were taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead and the pillion admitted in stable condition.

The Road Safety Unit says more than 100 people have been killed in road crashes since the start of the year.
