Work crews have now restored access to the Palisadoes main road behind the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

The road was made impassable overnight by silt and debris caused by high tides influenced by Hurricane Matthew, now a category four storm over Caribbean waters.

The police say while access has now been restored to the road, motorists should proceed with caution.
