Voters in South East St Mary will hear today when they will go to the poll to elect a new Member of Parliament.

That’s according to Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) insiders who say the announcement will be made during today’s mass rally in the parish.

It is not clear if the dates for the pending by-elections in South West and South St Andrew will also be announced.

South East St Mary has been without a Member of Parliament since the sudden passing of Dr Winston Green in August.

JLP candidate Dr Norman Dunn, who narrowly lost the constituency to Dr. Green in the 2016 General Elections, is being challenged by People’s National Party standard bearer Dr Shane Alexis.

The vacancies in South West and South St Andrew follow the retirement of former Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and former Finance Minister Dr Omar Davies.
