Henningham champions power of gospel music to promote peace
Jeniel Henningham says gospel music is more than just music
Jeniel Henningham believes that Gospel artistes have a major role to play in promoting peace and harmony in the society.
“Gospel music is more than just an art form, it’s an expression of what we feel deep inside our souls as we study the teachings of Christ. So, as Gospel artistes we have to understand that we’re not just making music. We’re creating music to bring about a greater awareness about God and we must also use our talents to promote peace and harmony wherever are,” said Henningham.
The Clarendon-born singer recently released a new single titled Fight, featuring Sandra Folkes. The song which was produced by Poised To Succeed Global was released awith a video in March.
“I was inspired to write this song after reading the scriptures and realising that oftentimes we’re fighting a spiritual warfare in the physical realm. That’s the reason why we have so much problems here on Earth. All these problems are man-made, but we can fix them if we follow the teachings of Christ,” she said.
Henningham is also working on an EP, titled Change, slated to be released later this year.
“I am currently working on my second EP and I am very excited about it. It’s going to feature seven awesome songs. The production process is going smoothly. I can’t wait to see how the public responds to it when it’s released.”
Some of her other songs are J ourney, Help, Let Praises Rise and Come On.
