The calls are growing louder for President Joe Biden to pull out of the November 2024 American presidential race, given what appears to be his clear signs of a ‘fuzzy brain’.

This became more starkly clear during the June 27 debate in which an incoherent Biden couldn’t put together a rational sentence.

Given Mr Biden’s increasing signs of ‘mental fog’, there are calls for him to withdraw from the November presidential race.

But, who would replace Joe Biden at this late stage?

Michelle Obama has emerged in United States public opinion polls as the democratic candidate who is most likely to beat Trump.

Even though Joe Biden has not withdrawn, and she has not entered the race, Mrs Obama now has a clear 10-point lead over Donald Trump in almost every US public opinion poll.

CAN MICHELLE OBAMA BEAT TRUMP?

Why Michelle Obama?

First, she has proven herself to be a black woman of impeccable character who has not been tainted by the dirty, back-stabbing, give-and-take of American hard ball politics.

Second, her family-friendly attitude during her period in the White House from 2008-2016 brought a positive vision of her own illuminating personality that almost outshone President Obama.

Third, America obviously needs a moral reawakening. Fresh intellectual thought and a new political enlightened team can rescue America from political dysfunction.

Given these realities, there are a lot of reasons to hope that Mrs Obama, as a black woman and mother, will better understand the stigmatic quality of life issues of intense poverty that affect women and young girls.

On the other side of this obvious moral dilemma, if Michelle Obama is not the democratic nominee, we are faced with the bleak picture that, if Joe Biden stays in the race, Donald Trump may be elected president in the November matchup.

A Donald Trump victory, also, would make him the first criminally indicted and convicted president of the United States.

One can suppose that Donald Trump’s packing of the United States Supreme Court is now playing out in his favour.

These hand-picked Supreme Court justices, among others, now say that he is presidentially immune from some of the criminal charges.

Far worse, if Trump is elected president, he could pardon himself from federal crimes and get pardons from state crimes by his compliant allies.

BIDEN’S FUZZY-BRAIN CONSEQUENCES

In the meantime, keen gleaners will recall that I first raised this issue in my May 1, 2024, article ‘Fuzzy brain and Joe Biden’s black cannibal Anancy story’.

Joe Biden is showing “the classical signs and symptoms of potential impaired cognitive issues”, I argued.

What is now clear is that the situation is getting worse, as Mr Biden recently referred to himself as “a Black woman”.

My friends, there were times in the past when the people would defend Mr Biden for his misstatements, arguing that they were just gaffes, meaning, errors of thought, speech and sentence construction.

But these so-called “gaffes” have real-world consequences.

The NATO proxy war with Russia in Ukraine is increasingly tethering to get worse, as both sides of the conflict rattle the nuclear silos and missiles, threatening a potential nuclear war.

Given this possibility, Russia increased the military threat level by signing a mutual defence alliance with the nuclear-armed North Korea.

These are clearly alarming signs!

Elsewhere in the world, the Israel-Palestine resistance war is also spinning out of control under a hapless Joe Biden administration.

Despite the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice now ruling that Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza, America and her European allies have continued to provide massive bombs to Israel.

Who really is running the show in America?

Why are there no serious efforts to defuse the political temperature in the world?

These are some of the issues that have led to a loss of support for the Democratic Party.

The young people in America, and many minorities, have turned away from the Democratic Party over empty promises.

Black voters have voiced their dissatisfaction and may not vote for the Democratic Party as they did in droves in the 2020 election.

WHERE IS THE AMERICAN DREAM?

Many people are now saying that they have lost sight of the so-called ‘American Dream’.

The median average home price in America is now over US$450,000. Mortgage interest rates, which were an average of 3.5 per cent in 2014 for a person with good credit, are now over 7 per cent.

My dear friends, America and the world is in a crisis while Dr Jill Biden cheers on her husband, the president, with “You did good, Joe.”

Is that an accurate assessment?

If Trump is elected president, then it may well come down to the opportunistic, self-serving failure of Mr Biden’s friends and families to have him drop out of the race.

My dear friends, America and the world need new thinking and a fresh political vision.

Both parties have maintained political mayhem to the world with their imperialist wars on borrowed money that have ballooned the American debt to over US$5 billion.

These imperialist wars have brought death, destruction and moral degradation to the world.

Wars have worsened the migration and climate crisis. As people’s lives become devastated, they have been driven from their homeland to become cheap labourers in America and Europe.

Wars have also brought increased economic hardship to all people. A worker’s paycheque has lost value as the price of goods and services rises.

While there are no guarantees that a President Michelle Obama would not be a warmonger, in times like this we can only keep dreaming, and hoping, for a better future in a climate of peace and economic prosperity.

I believe Michelle Obama has the moral and intellectual capacity to be a true change agent, and can bring a bright new vision to America and the people of the world who seek peace, human rights and justice!

That is just ‘the bitta truth’!
