Jamaica's 800m representative Navasky Anderson failed to secure an automatic qualification spot for the semi-final of the event at the ongoing Paris Olympics.

Anderson, who competed in heat five, finished fifth in 1:46.82.

The national record holder will seek a spot in the semis through the repechage round.
