FID to analyse Integrity Commission’s report to determine action, agency says
The Financial Investigations Division (FID) says it received a communication from the Integrity Commission on September 19, 2024.
“The contents will be analysed in accordance with the legislations that govern the FID's functions,” the agency said in a brief statement today.
“The FID will undertake a comprehensive analysis of the Integrity Commission's report and determine what, if any, specific area may be probed in keeping with the mandate of the FID.”
In December 2021, the Integrity Commission and the Financial Investigations Division signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering a strategic working relationship in which information-sharing is at its core.
In a report tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, the Integrity Commission said it referred matters relating to Prime Minister Andrew Holness's statutory declarations to the FID for further investigation.
