St Ann awaits PNP motorcade

Supporters of the People's National Party (PNP) in North East St Ann are expected to gather at the party's constituency office in St Ann's Bay this morning in anticipation of the arrival of the party's motorcade on its islandwide tour.

"We will gather at the constituency office from 11 o'clock, then move to the square for a spot meeting at 4," constituency caretaker Paul Stewart confirmed to The Gleaner on Tuesday.

Flags in the party's orange colour are being mounted along Windsor Road leading to the office and to the square in St Ann's Bay, the route for the motorcade, which will travel via Ocho Rios as it makes its way from St Mary.

The meeting is expected to last around 45 minutes with addresses by several party stalwarts, including party President Portia Simpson Miller and Senator K.D. Knight.

The party's representatives for other constituencies in the parish, South East Member of Parliament, Lisa Hanna and Lucius Thomas of North West St Ann are expected to join Stewart and other party members from St Ann at the meeting.

After the meeting, the motorcade will move to Trelawny, where the team is expected to overnight before moving to Montego Bay then Negril, Savanna-la-Mar then culminating with a meeting in Mandeville tomorrow.
