Wife of former custos dies

Elethia Elizabeth Thompson, wife of the former custos of Westmoreland, James McLean Thompson, and mother of the Suffragan Bishop of Kingston, the Rt Rev Robert Thompson, has died.

The 84-year-old Thompson, who had been ailing for some time, died Saturday night at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

She was the owner of the Bar-B-Barn Hotel in Negril, which she managed for more than 30 years.

Thompson is survived by her husband, six children and several grandchildren.
