One man has been charged and three others are being questioned in relation to yesterday’s seizure of four firearms in separate incidents in St James.

Twenty-five-year-old carpenter, Curtis Brown, of Anchovy in the parish, was charged following the seizure of a pistol containing several rounds of ammunition.

The police say he was among several patrons at a dance who were searched during an operation involving the military.

Meanwhile, in another incident, the St James police say three guns were found during an operation in Hollywood in Hendon.

Three men have been arrested but the police say they are withholding their identities pending further investigations.

The police report that one of the guns was found in a black plastic bag and the two others in a plastic container with cornmeal.
