FLOW, ScotiaVolunteers, Digicel read across Jamaica
Digicel celebrated Read Across Jamaica Day with a story time session at the Bustamante Hospital for Children Learning Centre.
Telecommunications firm FLOW got creative as it rolled out an Olympic-themed 'Read Across Jamaica Day' programme in three primary schools in Kingston, Portmore and Montego Bay.
More than 40 employee volunteers lead by Managing Director Garry Sinclair and Olympian Sherone Simpson read for the students and rewarded them with medals for their participation.
More than 200 Scotia-Volunteers also participated in the day's activities as they read to children at Truston Basic School and Liberty Academy.
The volunteers went to schools to share flyers and information provided by a number of state agencies about safety, Ananda Alert and child abuse.
