From the fashion extravaganza that is the Metropolitan Museum Gala to more Kardashian drama, we have all the latest that was trending last week in this edition of 'Twas Trending.

Met Gala

From what was hot to what was not, the costume institute gala, also known as the Met Gala, had everyone gawking at the fashion on display. With the theme 'Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology', some went all out with glow in the dark and light it up gowns, as well as other futuristic attires, while others fell short of the mark, and suffered greatly in the face of fashion police everywhere.

Kerry Washington preggers again

Scandal superstar Kerry Washington is pregnant with her second child, and was spotted rocking her baby bump at the gala. This took everyone, including us, by surprise. Two-year-old Isabelle is going to be a big sister, and we could not be happier.

Blac Chyna is pregnant

Speaking of pregnancies, the bombshell hit last Friday when Blac Chyna announced on her Instagram page that she is expecting her second child. Actually, she posted an animation of herself with a baby bump on her Instagram page. Oh, how the plot thickens! Is the reality family getting a new addition? Family gatherings are definitely going to be very interesting going forward.

Obama drops mic

There is no disputing that United States President Barack Obama is the coolest ever. At last week's correspondents dinner, the last of his presidency, he made history as he literally 'drops mic'. He had the crowd going with light banter on the Republican candidates, before leaving the stage with two words: "Obama out", and dropped his mic.

50 Cent and Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying was in full force when 50 Cent recorded himself teasing and taunting a TSA, whom he deemed drunk or high.

When he uploaded it to his social media platform for the world to see, it was revealed that the man featured was actually autistic, and his fans were not having it. They took to social media to share their disgust at his actions. He later apologised and donated US$100,000 to the Autism Foundation, but the damage was already done. Wait, isn't he bankrupt? *sips tea*
