The St Ann police today held five men suspected of being involved in a incident last Thursday in which $1 million was snatched from a motorcar in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Head of the St Ann Police, Superintendent Wayne Cameron says the three men were arrested after they were seen trailing a customer who had just left a bank in Ocho Rios.

Cameron says three of the men are prime suspects in last Thursday's million dollar theft.

He says the suspects were being watched for a while, with the help of surveillance cameras that were installed in the resort town a year ago.

Cameron also says images from privately-owned cameras also helped the police to arrest the suspects.

The men are to be questioned in relation to the robbery along with other criminal activities.

Last Thursday, a customer withdrew $1 million from a bank in Ocho Rios and stopped to do some business, leaving his car unlocked.

When the motorist returned, he discovered the money missing.

Two other persons suffered a similar fate in St Ann last week.
