Bogle to file injunction in Yallahs division
Outgoing Councillor of the Yallahs division in St Thomas, Constantine Bogle has revealed that he is looking to file an injunction in the Supreme Court to block his rival Dean Jones from sitting in the parish council.
The Jamaica Labour Party’s Jones emerged the winner of the seat after Monday’s Local Government election.
However, speaking with The Gleaner/Power106 News Centre last night Bogle, who represented the People’s National Party, said Jones does not live in the parish.
He says it is against the law for Bogle to serve in the St Thomas Parish Council as a result.
However, Jones denies Bogle’s allegations stating that he has lived in St Thomas for years.
Jones says Bogle is being a sore loser.
The PNP has already indicated it will be seeking magisterial recounts in two divisions.
Those are Toll Gate in Clarendon and Rae Town in Kingston.
Meanwhile, the JLP is expected to launch a challenge of its own in the Salt Spring division in St James.
